.
Inspired by the S4C/BBC TV detective series, those in attendance witnessed a very special ‘production’ of Y Gwyll/Hinterland in both Welsh and English with local walkers Demelza Fish-Jenkins, Dafydd Wyn Morgan, Arwel Jones and Gwen Cutter playing the roles of DI Mared Rhys, DCI Tom Mathias, DC Lloyd Elis and DS Siân Owens respectively.
.
The Hinterland Walks project is a collaboration between 35 tourism businesses in mid Wales working together to promote the ‘real’ hinterland of the county.

Eight bilingual guided walks have been created each visiting eight filming locations used of the popular award-winning TV series and a special Hinterland Walking Weekend is already planned for the Easter 2015 Bank Holiday weekend.
.
Following their ‘spoof’ on the series, all four walkers were joined by the audience, on a short but spectacular walk around the village of Devil’s Bridge, filming location for the first episode of series one.
.
The walks project has worked closely with the series production team Fiction Factory, in preparation for this launch.
.
The event also made use of the spell-binding soundtrack of John Hardy music, as used in the first series.
