Llandrindod Wells announces first Cycling Festival this summer!
Big news, cycle fans… Llandrindod Wells has just announced that it’ll be hosting their first ever cycling festival this summer!
The festival, which will be taking place on 17th-19th July, is set to feature a host of on and off-road routes and is being organised by some of the region’s top cycle providers including John Lloyd Racing Events, Daisy Chain, Red Kite Events, Mucky Breaks, Clive Powell Mountain Bikes, and Drover Cycles.
In spite of the recent Olympic, Tour of Britain and Tour of France successes, it is estimated that a massive 67% of still can’t ride a bike. There are even suggestions that less and less of us are trying – which is why this festival has come along at the perfect time and asks: why aren’t you on your bike already?
At the festival, local expert Clive Powell will put on several family-friendly events, with other specialists holding intermediate and advanced level rides for those looking for a bit more of a challenge.
Other events will include trade stands, food stalls, ‘decorated helmet’ and ‘decorated bike’ competitions, a climbing wall, and a bouncy castle.
