Italy is one of the great wine growing countries of the world, and the Valpolicella region has long been recognised, particularly for its full-bodied Amarone. Italy produces a great variety of wine styles, some using modern techniques and some more traditional methods. The team at The Falcondale would like to introduce you to some of these wines we have recently discovered and which you may not have tried before, including an excellent Amarone.

To guide you through the wines will be wine enthusiast Igor Andronov, who will tell you about the wines, explain how they are made and why they were chosen to accompany the dishes.

The accompanying menu will be designed by head chef Dafydd Davies and his team using local ingredients to create dishes with their origins in Italy, but with a Welsh chef’s flair license.

The evening costs £60 per person, or £99 per person to include overnight accommodation and full Welsh breakfast
