Elan Valley’s getting ‘egg-cited’ for Easter!

Llanwrtyd WellsMid WalesTowns & VillagesDŵr Cymru Welsh Water’s Elan Valley rangers are getting ‘eggcited’ about their upcoming Easter event. The rangers will be providing children with an ‘egg-citing’ quiz with a chance for them to win a big Easter egg, a great way to keep their minds active during the holiday.

Children can also ’eggsplore’ the grounds in search of the Easter eggs and learn all about the creatures of spring that may be encountered in the Elan Valley, something for everyone to enjoy.

For anyone interested in joining in the Easter fun activities, there is an entry fee of 50p for each child who must be accompanied by an adult. The Easter fun will run over four days, from April 18-21, from 11am and will finish no later than 4:30pm.

The event will be starting at the visitor’s centre, which is operated by Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water and is set in a fantastic location against a spectacular backdrop of a Victorian stone dam. There is a £2 car parking fee and this will cover you for all areas of the Elan Valley.

Alan Samuel, head ranger, said: “Easter promises to be a fun time at Elan Valley. It is a great chance for parents and their children to get out of the house during the holidays, whilst learning about nature and enjoying the estate’s stunning scenery. Anyone who would like further information can contact the rangers’ office on 01597 810880.”
