Valentine’s launch for chocolate studio!
Love couldn’t get any sweeter in Machynlleth this February as a brand new chocolate studio opens its doors at Corris Craft Centre for Valentine’s Day.
The new collection, which will be launched on February 8 by chocolatier Jenny Hanratty, will include hand crafted chocolates and truffles made using the finest Belgian chocolate.
Jenny, who originates from the West Midlands, has worked as a design and technology teacher for most of her life and taught children, from primary through to secondary and special needs, the key principles of food, design and art.
She is now transferring this knowledge into the development of her very own food business.
“I decided that it was time for a career change and wanted to put into practice the theory and understanding of food, design and art learnt throughout my teaching career,” she said.
“Chocolate is a versatile food which offers exciting opportunities. We’ve been developing a number of different chocolates, including our first seasonal range for Valentine’s Day.”
The Chocablock studio will open, at the Corris Craft Centre, on Saturday, February 8 with a full range of chocolates created using the finest Belgian chocolate. The Chocablock selection will include chocolate Valentine gifts, a range of chocolates, truffles, fudges, sweet bouquets and sweet trees.
Chocablock will also be offering visitors the chance to make their own bars of chocolate and to decorate them with a selection of sweets.
