Christmas creativity at the Elan Valley this weekend

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is getting into the festive spirit this weekend by holding a tree decorations workshop at its Elan Valley Visitor Centre.

On Sunday 8th December, craft lovers are invited to bring along leftover ribbons, wrapping paper and beads to recycle by creating unique decorations for the Christmas tree.

Sorcha Lewis, Head Ranger at the Elan Valley said: “For those who enjoy getting creative, this is the perfect opportunity to make a selection of decorations for your own tree or as a gift for someone else.”

There will be two sessions during the day, from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 4pm. The cost is £3.50 which includes mince pies and mulled non-alcoholic wine.

Situated within the Elan Estate near Rhayader, the Visitor Centre provides a wide variety of information and educational and interactive resources.

Welsh Water is a not-for-profit company and is committed to promoting access and recreation at its reservoir sites as well as managing over 42,000 hectares of land and enhancing special wildlife area in its care. So come and get involved!
