A great night for the Cambrian Mountains at the National Tourism awards!
What a great night it was for the Cambrian Mountains at last night’s National Tourism Awards for Wales!
The awards, which have been specifically designed to showcase the very best that Welsh tourism has to offer, saw not one but two local businesses come out on top of their respective categories.
A Regional Tourism Award went to Y Talbot, Tregaron for proving that they’re able to demonstrate quality, customer care, sense of place and give visitors a unique experience while in the Cambrian Mountains. The historic 17th century inn first became a hotel back in the 1860s with the arrival of the railway and earlier this year received a Four Star Inn grading from both the AA and Visit Wales. Also an Outstanding Achievement Award went to Gordon Green at Green Events ltd for having brought a world of wacky, weird and wonderful outdoor activities to Llanwrtyd Wells. The last thirty years has seen the smallest town in Britain hosting the Man vs Horse race, the Bog Snorkelling world championships and the Real Ale Wobble, to name but a few.
Well done guys!
