Christmas comes to Elan Valley

Shoppers in Wales can grab a Christmas gift with a difference this weekend at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water’s Elan Valley estate Winter Craft Fair.

Screen Shot 2013-10-18 at 10.19.34With only eight weeks until the big day, the fair will provide an opportunity to buy a range of unique gifts, crafted by local Welsh artists and crafters.

Shoppers can browse handmade jewellery, wildlife photography, handmade buttons, beads and accessories, fair trade crafts, crystals, paintings and more.

There will also be opportunities to see some of the crafters at work with demonstrations throughout the day.

The visitor centre and craft fair will be open from 10am to 5pm on November 2 and 3.

Situated within the Elan Estate near Rhayader, the Visitor Centre provides a wide variety of information and educational and interactive resources.

Responsibility for protecting the Elan Valley lies with Welsh Water and The Elan Valley Trust. Welsh Water is a not-for-profit company and is committed to promoting access and recreation at its reservoir sites as well as managing over 42,000 hectares of land and enhancing special wildlife area in its care.
