Ghost tours at King Arthur’s Labyrinth on 31st October
King Arthur’s Labyrinth launches Halloween Ghost Tours
The abandoned workings of an old Welsh slate mine in Corris, Mid Wales will create a chilling setting for Ghost Tours being launched this Halloween. The historic workings which, by day, create a dramatic backdrop for the King Arthur’s Labyrinth underground adventure will, for the first time, open for haunting twilight ghost tours.
The Ghost Tours which will take place on Halloween night, Thursday 31st October, will include terrifying accounts of actual mining tragedies and fatalities which occurred during the mine’s 130 year working history.
Jemma King, one of the Ghost Tour Guides said “The dark caverns and precipices of the old mine have witnessed numerous mining fatalities with miners as young as 11 losing their lives whilst toiling underground. The King Arthur’s Labyrinth boatmen have reported numerous sightings including that of a shadowy figure of a young man wearing a flat cap and carrying a lantern, who they’re convinced is one of the old miners. The spooky atmosphere of the mine will be ideal for the retelling of these stories.”
The one-hour ghost tours, which will run from 6pm – 9pm, will also include Halloween refreshments.
Ghost Tour tickets cost £10 and are available from King Arthur’s Labyrinth Tel: 01654 761584 or book on line at www.kingarthurslabyrinth.co.uk. Not suitable for children under 12.
